How do I close my account?
To close your account, log in to the Walmart MoneyCard app & select Menu, Manage cards, & Close your account. Or log in to your account at Walmart MoneyCard.com & select Settings, Manage cards, & Close your account. If you still have money in your account, you have 3 options when closing your account online or through the app.
- Spend down your balance to $0 – Use your card to make purchases in stores & online or for ATM withdrawals.&;&;
- Pick up cash (if you balance is at least $22.50) – Use a barcode generated through the Walmart MoneyCard app or Walmart MoneyCard.com to pick up cash at Walmart. $2.50-$5.00 retail service fee applies & will be deducted from the balance on the account.
- Get a refund check- The check will be sent to your address on file within 14 days of closing your account. You won't have access to your funds after a check has been issued.&;
Your account will automatically close when your balance reaches $0.
Once you close your account, you can view your account statements & transactions history at Walmart MoneyCard.com or in the Walmart MoneyCard app.
